Black Political Exodus

Podcast 4: Martin King, Jr On Politics:

Theblack politician is thoroughly compromised and incapable of representing the black community in matters of vital importance. They are owned by white oligarchs and were described by King as “manufactured leaders.” These manufactured leaders are appointed by outside forces to prevent any meaningful progress in the black community. The black politicians’ neoliberal political handlers deal with them as a “powerless subordinate,” writes King. “Whites know too well of his remoteness from his constituents, and they deal with him as a powerless subordinate. He is accorded a measure of dignity and personal respect but not political power.”
